  1. I understand rooting cuttings. but your already had roots once you
separated the stems. why not just plant those. they would have become
    productive quicker.

    1. this video is just a no brainer…
Roots are obviusly already there, there was no need at all to cut them down.
Or , if there are any, would be nice to know wich they are.

  2. do you have to use that powder and just use nothing?

    1. i did not use root powder in my basils but i gows a lot of basil …i think
it depends on our hands hehehe…

  3. My cuttings always die :(

    1. Everywhere i read about Basil says it is easy to grow from seed but i can
get it grow hehe, they dont reach 2 inches before dying. I guess it has to
      do with the soil.

    2. Roxy Lamour I actually just put my cuttings in water till a nice set of
roots appear and plant in soil. Mine has always grown.

  4. Just put the basil in water for a few weeks. Let it grow roots 2 inches
    long. Plant in soil, enjoy.

  5. which kind of pesticides we should use during planting

  6. Root in H2O, never touch ur bare skin with chemicals. If you want to root
with hormone, dip in H2O then dip into hormone, tap the excess, then plant
    it. Liked the video.

  7. Great tutorial! Anything special about the potting soil you’re using? I
keep seeing instructions warning that it should be 100% peat free, but
    nobody ever explains why.

  8. Thank you! You’re a good teacher.

  9. Hi, basil has to have sun light direct? or far from sun but some light,
bcse in my kitchen has sun direct, and I don’t know if sun is gonna burn
the plant, your video is really good, I will try if you can answer my
question. Thank you very much. Susana

    1. please keep in the shady place…last time I always keep my basil in our
window it dies… now i grown lots of basil and i keep them in the shady
      please…

  10. noticed that in other videos they say to pinch then pull but you’re doing
the complete opposite very clean cuts are those other people just wrong?

  11. thank you I love basil, and am doing the same thing, although this video,
makes it easier by watching your technique, and building confidence….
    cheers.
