  1. Will vitamin k2 help the absorption of vitamin D? I thought I remember Dr.
Mercola mentioinng this at some point?

  2. K2 has nothing to do with D absorption, However it is crucial to take with
D as it helps prevent D toxicity and works synergistically with D to
    prevent osteoporosis and heart disease

  3. Sunshine has nothing to do with K2 production, it produces vitamin D. K2 is
    a product of bacterial fermentation.

  4. ho about homemade yogurt? any sources from indian food?

  5. Vitamin K helps the blood clot. I had a DVT in my arm awhile back that is
all gone now & I am no longer on Coumadin, but I do have some damage to
that vein, so my arm will swell sometimes, but I’m scared to take any high
levels of Vit K like in natto because it helps the clotting process, which
is good, but I have my apprehensions because of my arm.

  6. Hi Dr. Mercola. I can’t get my hematologists to acknowledge that long-term
warfarin therapy is predisposing me to osteoporosis and calcification of
blood vessels in my heart. I’ve seen research saying that taking Vitamin K
will help limit these side-effects and at the same increase the consistency
of my INR levels. Is this accurate? If so, I have a bottle of MK-7 at the
    ready. Thx.

  7. I want to start taking K2 supplements and share it with both of my parents
too. I’m just confused about dosing. Is 150 mcg (MK-7) a generally good
    dose to take 1x daily?

  8. Doc- I recently started taking Vitamin K2 mk7 and I’m AMAZED with results.
After a few weeks, I’ve already noticed the veins in my arms bulging out
more, my blood pressure has dropped and I’ve turned back into a teenager in
the bedroom! I, of course, know nothing of my bone health, but the benefits
I’ve already experienced are incredible. I believe that men suffering from
erectile dysfunction could benefit from this dramatically. Everyone needs
    this product! Thank you!

  9. Thanks again Doctor for your informative videos! You mention fermented
foods providing K2, does this include yogurt? Thank you!!!

  10. I didn’t know the existence of vitamin K2 until i saw this video!!!

  11. I’m eating Natto for the first time — recommended by my health-nut friend
for the dissolving of my keloids (together with Serrapeptaste. We’ll see
how this goes; dunno how much to eat). People say it’s disgusting, but I
don’t see what the big deal is. It’s not the greatest tasting food, but
    it’s not that bad either.

  12. Great video! There was some great research done in the 1930s by Weston A.
Price which confirms a lot of Dr. Mercola’s recommendations on Vitamin K2.
Forgotten Vitamin indeed! We just did a new animated video covering much
    the same stuff. ?v=Mw-Y3WQ9DFE

  13. I bought a frozen Natto product at an Asian market. But in the nutrition
bar didn’t list the vitamin K2. Does this mean it’s not a good product. Do
companies sometimes do not list all the vitamin a product contain. Not sure
how this work. And can this food help lower your cholesterol? Thanks Dr.
    Mercola.

  14. No it is probably fine. VItamin K2 is not required to be listed on the
label. All properly made natto will have vitamin K2 in very high
    concentrations.

  15. I ferment 24/7….I found that once you get a good base of fermented
liquid, you can then add other hard to ferment herbs to the mix and get a
highly active , and very curative substance that is really they BOMB to
disease of all kinds…most reciently, I kicked the heck right out of the
flu…from fever and the worse headache ever, to pristene health…in
one-half hour! I was amazed…I used Bucchu as the additive fermentable, as
    well as geostemma pentaphyllum…give it a try…kimmy

  16. “Soy’ and ‘Fermented soy’ are totally different animals. Night and
Day.Stuff in non-fermented soy prevents effective absorption of some
minerals in the intestinal tracks .Those horse riding people in ancient
northern part of Korea (Gojuryeo , BC37~AD668) carried cooked soy bean
under the saddle, the horse’s body temperature helped the soy fermented
while they were traveling even in cold northern weather area. It was a good
    source of protein.

  17. Natto is so delicious

    I eat it every day

  18. I eat natto everyday and I look forward to it. It only takes a few times to
get used to it. The flavor is a slight cheesy bean flavor. The stringing
texture is no big deal once you get used to it. It is very healthy so it is
worth it. I buy it at an asian market and its very cheap. You can buy 4
containers for about $3.00 or less.

  19. The body make vitamin k2 from vitamin k.

    1. The K2 made by the micro organisms in the colon, remain locked up in the
cell walls of these organisms. This K2 is never available to the owner, and
      eventually enters the sewage system.

  20. Vitamin K isn’t recommended by doctors but vitamin k2 helps prevent
    osteoporosis
